Maintenance and care

Physical plates should be kept clean and in good condition. Damaged or illegible plates may need replacement, which requires going through the traffic department.

If you're storing a plate (not currently on a vehicle), keep it in a safe, dry place. Some collectors frame valuable plates for display while maintaining proper documentation.
